Intrauterine insemination is another popular assisted reproduction technologies method close enough to natural conception.
The indications for intrauterine insemination procedure are cervical factor infertility when the sperm cannot travel through the cervical canal because of poor consistency of the cervical mucus, thus making conception impossible; vaginismus; moderate impairment of male fertility, as well as erectile and ejaculation dysfunction; absence of a male partner. Artificial insemination centers resort to ICSI in cases when, for example, a man's ejaculate contains an extremely small percentage of morphologically normal forms of sperm. We offer intrauterine insemination with husband's sperm and intrauterine insemination with donor sperm in our clinic. Only your physician can say whether or not you should do intrauterine insemination We recommend the intrauterine insemination on the basis of the results of your medical examination, anamnesis, and your individual characteristics.
Intrauterine insemination is effective only with normal tubal patency, otherwise you can turn to in vitro fertilization method. IUI has few advantages: it does not require hormonal stimulation prior to the procedure. During the process of intrauterine insemination, husband's or donor sperm is carefully elaborated, which increases the chances of conception.
The procedure itself takes not much time and the price of intrauterine insemination is much lower comparing with the cost of IVF and other ART methods. The lower cost of the intrauterine insemination doesn’t mean this method is ineffective. It can give extremely good results if you don’t have serious fertility problems.
